BSides Manchester is free to attend, run under a Community Interest Company (CIC) and is a not for profit company and event. It is run and organised by volunteers who give up their own time for free. Obviously the event is not free to put on, there are many cost, such as the venue, refreshments, banners, website, IT, accounts, marketing, etc, and we fund this through the support and sponsorship we get from the amazing companies who sponsor BSides Manchester each (check them all out here).
The amount of tickets we can release, the swag we can give away, the free food and drink available, and the after party bar tab is linked to the amount of income (mainly sponsorship) we receive.

However if you love BSides and would like to show your support and make a financial donation to the event, then please do so via the paypal link above. We really do maximize every pound of income and spend it wisely and would welcome anything you would be happy to donate.
